10 Signs of Pregnancy

Being tuned to your rhythms of body means you can start suspecting that you are pregnant. But the problem is that most of the women do not experience the early pregnancy signs until the fertilized egg fixes itself to uterine wall, quite a few numbers of days following conception. Others may simply notice no pregnancy signs for about weeks and start to wonder "Am I really pregnant?" only when they miss their period.

Here is a list of some first symptoms of impending motherhood. You may experience none or some of these pregnancy symptoms.

1. Food cravings: At times food cravings can be a symptom of pregnancy. However, don't ever depend on them as sure symptom, but if the cravings are accompanied by some other signs on the list, start counting on the days from last period.

2. Darkening of your areolas: If the skin around nipples get darker, you may then have conceived successfully, though this may also signal hormone imbalance unrelated to pregnancy or be leftover effect from previous pregnancy.

3. Cramping or implantation bleeding: About 8 days after the ovulation, you might experience implant spotting, an insignificant staining of brown or pink color and some cramping as well. This is caused by egg burrowing in the endometrial lining. You can also see some spotting around time you expect the period.

4. Frequent urination: After the embryo implants and starts to produce the hCG(hormone human chorionic ganadotropin), you might find yourself visiting bathroom more frequently.

5. Fatigue: High levels of hormone progesterone can simply make you feel tired. You will feel as if you have run the marathon when all you have done is put in a day at office. Fatigue is, in fact, the main feature of early pregnancy, though most likely not a surefire sign on its own.

6. Swollen and tender breasts: If you become pregnant, breasts of yours will become more and more tender. Once the body becomes accustomed to hormone surge, the pain will normally subside.

7. Altered sense of taste: You sense of taste may change. Some women sat they have metallic taste in mouth; others say they simply cannot stand the taste of tea, coffee or food they take usually.

8. Morning sickness: If you are lucky, morning sickness simply won't hit you until few weeks after conceiving. But you may start feeling queasy and nauseated as early as two days after conception. However, not only morning, pregnancy related nausea could be your problem at morning, night or even noon.

9. A missed period: If you are regular and your period is late, it is worth trying out a pregnancy test. A missed period is surest pregnancy symptom in women of childbearing age who has regular periods generally.

10. A positive home pregnancy test: If you have waited to test until at least first day of missed period and blue line appears in test window, you are most likely to be in family way.
