Our eyes get strained due to continuous exposure and little rest. In the long term, the eyesight can get affected if do not take care of eyes in a proper manner. We are presenting some useful eye care tips to help you retain your eyesight, which will further assist you leading a beautiful life with proper health, mind, body.
One of the basic eye care tips is to wash your eyes frequently. This allows your eyes to remain clear, dirt and dust free. Not only this, your feels refreshed and you feel better.
Incorporate a diet rich in Vitamin A, C and E to maintain a good health, mind, body. These vitamins are essential to make eyes brighter. Some of the rich sources of these vitamins are papaya, green leafy vegetables, eggs, citrus fruits, fish, tomatoes, spinach, poultry and dairy products.
If you are suffering from dark circles under your eyes, soak cotton in cold milk and then put it over closed eyes for about 30 to 60 minutes. Milk is a good cleanser.
Another way to get rid of dark circles make a paste of tomato pulp in one teaspoon, take turmeric powder, which should be just a pinch, lime juice, which should be half a teaspoon and gram flour of one teaspoon. Apply this paste on the eyelids and dark circles. You will the desired result after a week.
Soak an amla (gooseberry) in water and keep it overnight. Use this water to wash your eyes.
Proper rest is necessary for the eyes. If you are working near a computer, take a break of five minutes after every single hour. Close your eyes and relax for five minutes. This also helps your to refresh your health, mind, body too.
Put a drop of rose water with the help of a dropper in your eyes and close your eyes for 5 minutes to relax. Rose water instantly soothes and freshens your eyes.
If anything is pricking or disturbing your eyes, do not rub your eyes. Try to blink. Continuous blinking might enable you to get rid of eye irritation.
If you are being irritated by eye burns, mix rose water and castor oil together. Dip cotton in the mixture and place it on the eyelids for 20-30 minutes.
Never expose your eyes to sunlight. The ultra-violet rays may harm your eyes.
If you are suffering from puffy eyes, take a slice of potato and place them over closed eyes for 15-20 minutes. Alternatively, you can use cucumber slices on your eyes.
If you have developed deep sunken eyes, make a mixture of a teaspoon of almond oil. Apply this on your eyes before you go to sleep.
