- What the team needs to perform: The team leader should know and have a clear idea about the tasks that needs to be achieved by the team. The team leader should have a checklist ready with him or her about what are the various things that needs to be done. This will actually lead to a good and strong team building.
- Find out the Purpose: The entire team should always be clear about what it actually needs to do within the team. In case the team has no clear information about the purpose then the entire team will never be able to achieve the target. It is actually extremely unrealistic and confusing if too many programs and methods or ideas are used or put into the action. It is always better to take up a few works, and do it well, instead of focusing on a lot of activities and creating a mess out of them.
- Proper improvement of performance: Team building awards, which are given to recognise and encourage the entire team, obviously makes the team feel that each and every member is given due importance and recognition. So the team leader should let the team knows that the members and their efforts are given much value. Only then the team will work as a team and the team building will be successful.
- Increase the Insight for better work: In case you want the work level of the entire team to get well, you should focus on increasing the insight of the team. Each and every member of the team should be well aware of the portion of the work that he needs to do. If effective debriefing is there to support it then even the cost of the work comes down. Debriefing if done in a proper manner, it will ensure that team building is done in a proper manner.
- Follow Through and proper Follow up: The team leader should be such that he should be properly aware of what the members of the team is actually doing and what they need to do. He should be able to track the daily duties that are being done and whether the members are doing them according to the plans or not. The leader should always help them to put into action new and improved ideas and actions. The leader of the team should be aware of the various tasks that are being done by the team. He should keep a track of the daily duties that are being performed by each and every member so that things are done according to plan.
- Team Building is not actually a Silver Bullet: You should always understand that the efforts of proper team building are only a portion of effective team development process. But you should always try to giver much time and effort with your proper analysis and proper planning as much as you can.

Every year every company put a huge amount of their fund into the process of team building. There are some companies, which claim that the results shown are fantastic, while some others claim that they could not achieve the desired result from the process. Proper team building should take into account coordination from the team, top-level communication, lots of involvement of groups etc. If a good team comes into existence, the surely every project will be successful.
