We all know the feeling, the frustration and irritation that we experience when we are not motivated. We know are our goals and duties, yet we do not do enough to fulfill them. There are times you do not want to do a particular thing regardless of the fact that it needs to be done. “How I wish I get a little motivation and get ahead to work” is what you might feel then. You are not alone in the world to feel that ways. There are many. Occasionally I personally experienced the same feeling. When you are motivated you work harder, get more satisfaction, and hence turn out to be more effective.
Imbibing motivation in yourselves should be a proactive and focused approach. It is mental process that involves conscious efforts from your side. There are simple things that you can do to make yourself stay motivated. Here are some tips that will surely help you get motivated and start a productive and wonderful day.
Start motivating yourself as you start your day. The first thing that you should do in the morning is to get out of the bed immediately when you are awake instead of lying in the comfy bed. Avoid procrastination. One trick is to keep the alarm clock at a distance. You will be forced to get up to stop the annoying alarm clock. It is very necessary that you get up with motivation within yourself. Only then will you be able to make a good start. After getting up, stretch your arms, neck, and legs for 5-10 minutes. Stretching will enable proper circulation of blood to body parts that was inactive for many hours.
Remember your joyful or successful moments. A visualization of your peek moments will bring a feeling of triumph in you and remind you what you are and what your goals are. These moments will do a great deal in inflating your motivation level.
Get active. Involve yourself in high-energy exercise with music in your ears and a rejuvenating shower afterwards.
Make sure that the workstation is comfortable. If you are going to spend long hours in front of the computer ensure that the computer, monitor, keyboard, and your chair is properly adjusted to a proper height. If it is not properly adjusted the strain is surely going to make you unmotivated.
Schedule regular breaks when at work. Mind you the breaks should not be frequent. If you find your motivation to deflate, take ten to fifteen minutes break. You should relax. Take a walk, do some stretching exercises, or have some energy drink if possible.
Remind yourself that the present moment is quite precious to you if you lose it you may not regain it. Think that you have to make the most of this moment, which is not going to come back again. When you imbibe this in your heart and mind and work towards that it will pay off big time.
Make sure that you stay healthy. Your work schedule might make you unwell. Eat healthy and regularly in order to fight off any health problems. If you are sick and metabolism is not boosted it will show in the work. You not feel inclined and very soon the motivation level will start waning.
Dream. Yes, dream instead of goals will make you feel much motivated. Think of your goal and make it a dream you have to accomplish for a better life ahead. Your dream should be a passion. The desire to fulfill the passion will bring renewed motivation to work harder.
