3D is starting to work its way into all areas of our lives. From cinemas where the majority of the films will very soon be seen in 3D to even our homes where television and computer games are all heading the same way, utilising 3D displays – after many decades of failed attempts – is finally becoming the norm. But what does 3D really offer people that normal 2D doesn’t? Obviously, there is an extra dimension, but is this merely a gimmick or is actually beneficial for the needs of the mediums that actually use it?Ultimately it can indeed simply be a gimmick, but for both businesses and entertainment mediums, gimmicks can mean big bucks. By having something that attracts the imagination of an end user, sales (or at least interest) will rise dramatically. Not only that, but whether in film or whether in the use of Holographic Projection within business pitches or exhibits, 3D simply adds a greater potential for depth and realism.Within films, the best 3D is the 3D you almost don’t notice – subtle depth that simply serves to make the picture far more realistic and in turn more engrossing. In business, 3D displays can do a whole lot more than just offer a gimmick. Whilst Holographic Projection can indeed simply offer a far more interesting way to display the information you wish to and in turn pique interest far more easily within a target demographic, they can also simply make the act of showing the same information a great deal easier.Such displays can show a product from all angles and in far greater detail, even allowing full interaction between users and the displays you create. So whether in entertainment or simply just in your promotion, 3D can help to make things more interesting, more real and far easier to explore.
