Avoid Paypal Fraud By Adopting Alternatives

The numbers of cases of PayPal fraud that are being reported by consumers today is just mind boggling. PayPal has a very insecure system for payments that makes it easy for hackers to forge through. What’s more, PayPal does not want to do anything about it, as they care the least about their customers. All they want from you is your money.

Yet most of the people stick to PayPal because they think it is their only way to do online payments securely. Well, there are a number of alternatives that you can choose, if only you look for them. Especially if you are opening up a new online account, it is suggested that you don’t do business with PayPal because their service is one of the worst that you will see on the web.

Security

The biggest problem with PayPal is their security practices. There is no way to know how their security software is built, but in experience it has shown itself to be very week. Thousands of accounts are hacked into each day. Many of these complaints are from people who use very strong passwords and don’t share it with anybody, which eliminates the weaker one’s argument made by the company.

It has become easy for a clever coder to bypass PayPal’s security filters and gain access to your account. Although PayPal has been swamped with complaints about this, they haven’t done anything to help the situation in the last few years. Instead, complaints against the company keep mounting. You sometimes feel that you are better off with credit card terminals, which could be more convenient to use.

Customer service

Having your account hacked is one thing, but not getting help from the company you trusted with your hard earned money is completely another thing. You have to go through their automated phone menu for at least 5 minutes before you ever get in touch with an actual human being.

After establishing contact with a customer service rep, they repeatedly keep asking you the same questions all over again. Your call keeps getting transferred form one person to another and all of them have the same words for you. None of them can actually help you out with your situation.

If you are a merchant, you should terminate your PayPal account and stick to credit card terminals. Else, use other online payment services such as WebPay or Square. These services are much more transparent in their working and provide top notch service. This is the best way to say good bye to the world of PayPal fraud.
