Football Betting: The Different Types Of Bets

Football betting is a very popular activity among football enthusiasts. Some engage in football betting just for fun while there are others that do it professionally. Professional football bettors are the ones that place huge amounts on their wagers. To engage in football betting whether professionally or just for fun, it is important to know that there are different types of bets involved. The straight bet is a type of football betting where you bet on the outcome of a particular game. You can either bet on the more popular team or bet on the least popular team or the underdog in the game. An over or under bet in football betting is done by choosing either the under or the over for the game total.

Betting on the under means that your bet is that the score of the game will be under the game total. To calculate the total number, you need to add each of the scores of the two teams playing in the game. If you are betting on the over this means that your bet is that the score will be more than the total. A simple illustration would be that if the score of Team A is 22 and Team B gets a final score of 17. The final number for this particular game would be 39. If your football betting is over and the final score is more than 39 then that means that you win. If you bet under then the score has to be lower than 39 in order for you to win in your football betting and cash in on the winnings. If the score is exactly 39 then it is considered as a tie or a push.

Another type of bet in Football Betting Odds is the parlay. The parlay is a single bet that covers the outcome of several games. This type of football betting can be made up of several bets on a single team, some over or under bets or a combination of two bets. In order to win a parlay bet, every single game that was included in the bet should win. If one of the bets in the parlay bet is lost then the whole parlay bet will no longer win the wager. The winnings of the parlay bet depends on how many wagers are included in the bet. The advantage of parlay bets is that the wager is low but the winnings are high. The disadvantage is that all of your bets in the parlay should win in order for you to win the entire parlay bet.
