Playing rugby requires the players to follow a set of rules -
- The game is of two forty minute halves. All players need to play offense and defese. Either a Rugby match can have five or ten minute halftime wherein players can switch out and switch in.
- The knicking of the ball commences the game. The ball should be kicked to go at least ten meters away. The defense should stand behind the person who hits the ball.
- The ball is then kicked, passed and thrown to other players.
- Though a player can kick the ball forward, it should be passed opposite or sideways towards the direction of the ball. If moved forwards, it can be called a scrum.
