In dogs the type 1 diabetes is called juvenile dog diabetes. This type of diabetes is generally shown when the dog is a young one, just a puppy. The symptoms of this type of diabetes are generally shown within 2 years age of the dog.
In dogs the type 2 diabetes is similar like humans. This disease usually comes to play when dogs get older and body no longer can produce insulin which the dog needs for making the internal organs function properly. The pet owners must be very careful if the dog that they have suffers from type 2 diabetes. The dog must be given insulin shots. Blood sugar of the dog needs to be checked at regular intervals so that when dog's insulin level is low insulin shots can be pushed.
