Secure And Maintainable Florida Seafood

Florida is known for its excellent species of crabs. Well-known Florida species of Stone Crab contains outrageous found shrimp, mountain (spiny) lobsters, crabs, clams and other seafood. The majority of Florida Stone crab nails are retail gathered off the lower tip of Florida from Texas to Ft Lauderdale.crabs are found in barriers and only the nails that meet a controlled size are taken. The live diamond crabs are then came back to the water where they regrow new nails in about 18 months. The refreshing nails are baked soon after harvesting and sold fresh-cooked or freezing in species of fish marketplaces.

Hard Clams

Two challenging clam types occur in Florida ocean. The south challenging clam (Mercenaria mercenaria) is the most commonly gathered of the two types. It is found from the West of St. Lawrence to the West of South america. The lower challenging clam, (Mercenaria campechiensis) happens from New Jacket to the U.S. West States, changing the south challenging clam in certain areas of the West Shore.

You can use stone crabs in an assortment of Thanksgiving dishes. Traditionally, you can steam or boil them, make them into soup chowders, stews, casseroles and any other dish that your creative mind can come up with. You can even serve stone crab appetizers for Thanksgiving.

Where to Get Stone Crabs

Stone Crabs are generally found in the Atlantic Ocean, ranging from North Carolina to Florida. The Gulf of Mexico is also a popular place to catch Stone Crabs. If you live near these areas, you may be fortunate enough to get stone crabs fresh off the boat. If you live in other parts of the country however, you can still enjoy fresh Florida stone crab claws delivered right to your front door.
