Oily Skin - Worry No More

Taking care of oily skin is very important. If ignored, it can lead to pimples or even acne. I have oily skin and I tried a few remedies, it really helped me not only control oil but left my skin feeling nourished and glowing.

Eating right – Start with avoiding Oily and Fatty food. Drink plenty of water about 10- 15 glasses, it helps flush out toxins. Add citrus and Seasonal fruits like watermelon muskmelon, cucumber & tomatoes to your diet.

Rose water – Rose water helped me so much that I use it daily after cleansing. To bid goodbye to shine you could add a pinch of salt or a teaspoon of camphor. Or to have a refreshing feeling after a stressful day, freeze some rose water and apply it on the face after cleansing.

Cucumber – Eat it, drink it or even better apply it on your face. Cucumber is a natural toner & astringent. Blend cucumber and refrigerate it, use it as a face mask twice a week leaving it on for about 15 minutes. Or if u can’t spend so much time in a face mask blend cucumber with mint and freeze it and just rub it on the face after cleansing. This will leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.

Face Pack – Multani mitti is best for oily skin. Mix 1 tsp mint, 2 drops clove oil and rose water to multani mitti and apply. Rinse with cold water, once it is dry. You could also use sandal wood powder with rose water. Or mix orange peel powder with sandal wood and mix it to your face wash, apply it on the face and rinse.

Fruits & Veggies – Refrigerate raw tomatos halves and apply to skin after cleansing. You can do the same with watermelon, it helps shrink pores and controls oiliness. To avoid sticky skin use papaya paste. Use strawberries as a natural scrubber, just make a paste and apply.
